Yep, the camping trip got cut short when it started to rain around 10 PM on July 4th and didn't let up all night or the next morning. One person in our group got flooded out of his tent and ended up moving to his car in the middle of the night. No bueno. Of course now it couldn't be lovelier weather out there. Oh, and I didn't make it to the ocean. Now I'm really jonesing to get out there even more.
Um. Isn't the PNW why REI sells water resistant stuff? I mean rain here on 4th of July would be unexpected. But there?

It rained on the 4th? Oh, our neighbors went to Cape Flattery near Neah Bay and got rained out too. Sucky.

Arg about being rained out. Next time just stop in and use our outdoor fire pit instead. Oh wait, but we don't have the ocean ...

With the rain making the trees all droopy, it looks like you're camping in Brazil.

You know what was tragic, Kirk? The tent that was completely rained out? Was from REI.
